Facts about Uganda

Located in almost the exact center of the country, Uganda is lovingly known as the "Pearl of Africa." Despite the fact that it is a small country - roughly the size of the state of Oregon - it boasts a wide variety of different climates and cultures.

Languages: There are over 50 languages in Uganda. However, the primary ones are English and Luganda
Life Expectancy: 55.8 years
Climate: The northern part of the country is home to the southern fringe of the Sahara desert. The climate is dry and the soil is sandy and fine. Southern Uganda is lush and green and boasts a huge variety of different species of plants, animals and birds.
